Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using the Giglive platform (“Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Giglive is an online marketplace that connects musicians and performers with clients seeking their services. We provide tools for discovering talent, booking performances, messaging, and processing payments. Giglive is not a party to agreements made between musicians and clients.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Giglive. By registering, you confirm that you are 18 or older and have the legal capacity to enter into contracts in your jurisdiction.

4. User Accounts

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • You must provide accurate and truthful information when registering
  • You may not create multiple accounts or impersonate others
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account

5. Bookings and Payments

  • A 30% deposit is required at the time of booking confirmation
  • The remaining 70% is due upon completion of the performance
  • Giglive charges a 10% platform fee on all transactions
  • All payments are processed securely via Stripe or Flutterwave depending on your region
  • Cancellation and refund terms are subject to individual booking agreements

6. User Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Post false, misleading, or fraudulent content
  • Harass, abuse, or harm other users
  • Use the platform for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to circumvent payments by transacting outside the platform
  • Upload content that infringes on intellectual property rights
  • Use automated tools to scrape or abuse the platform

7. Content Ownership

You retain ownership of content you post on Giglive. By posting content, you grant Giglive a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display that content on the platform.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

Giglive is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of any musician's services. Use of the platform is at your own risk.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Giglive shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time from the Settings page.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
